VICTORIA PARK
A lovely park for a walk, with plenty of space to sit and a play area for kids. Make sure you also check out the beautiful terrace of multi-coloured houses on the edge of the park; the Promenade is Grade II listed.

SNEINTON MARKET SQUARE
Just outside the gates of Sneinton Market Avenues is Sneinton Market Square. The square plays host to a vegan market every 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, with traditional markets on all other Saturdays. When not hosting markets, the square is extremely popular with the skateboarding community you can see prac heel flips, ollies, and wall rides in the open spaces

THE KING BILLY
A Sneinton icon, this cosy Victorian gem is a family-run free house that oozes charm and character. it is a haven for real ale drinkers, and there’s a covered outdoor smoking area, and a rooftop terrace. They host regular Secret Pizza nights.

THE CAROUSEL
The Carousel is a multi-purpose art space for Nottingham’s creative community. Studios, desks, coworking & print access. Workshops, exhibitions, talks and music, home to artists like Dizzy Ink. They also have a record shop open every Saturday. Their signage, painted 2021 is an incredible piece of artwork by artist SuperFreak.

THE BATH INN
The Bath Inn is a newly refurbished pub on the corner of Bath Road opposite Sneinton Market Square. Its architecture is considered to be rare example Egyptian revival style architecture, hardly seen anywhere else in Britain.

BACKLIT is a three-storey independent art gallery and studios located in the heart of Nottingham, UK. The contemporary studios are artist-led, whilst its three galleries host a dynamic public programme of (inter)national artists, original commissions, live talks, workshops and screenings throughout the year.

Fishergate is a multi-purpose arts venue and co-working space based in an old bus depot on Lower Parliament Street. It’s home to recording studios, a radio station City Beats, meeting spaces and offices for creatives.

Metronome is a national centre for music, moving image, video games, live performance and spoken word. Anchored around a 400-capacity (228 seated) venue, Metronome delivers an ambitious, diverse and contemporary cross-media programme. Beneath the venue is a warren of state-of-the-art studios for use by the students from Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies, part of NTU.

Since 1977, City Arts at the bottom of Hockley have helped communities and artists to create and explore art of all kinds – from music to writing, from drawing to dance. We aim to give everyone the chance to be creative, regardless of who they are or where they’re from. They are a charity and rely on donations, public funding and income from their small venue in Hockley, where we host music, comedy, film and poetry events as well as hands-on workshops and exhibitions.
